The regular education teacher must modify the curriculum to address students' individual needs.  On the other hand, a sel-contained classroom is one in which students work in at different academic levels.  Every class is made up by 12 students the most.  In this type of setting, students are taught by a special education teacher and are assisted by paraprofessionals.  They make sure to offer structure, routines and appropriate support to each student to achieve students'IEP goals.
