The students in the standard classroom only interact with children from other standard classrooms but students in the self contain classroom only interact with other self conatin students or special education students. Self contain students receive all their classes in the same classroom (usually).
Students in self contain classrooms are there to assist them meet their educational needs (same as the standard classroom). Self contain classroom are beneficial to students that are on their way to special education or on the way to standard classrooms. Self contain classrooms assist teachers/support team services determine what are the support that those students need in order to meet their educational needs.
